This is usually done piece by piece, with low priority and bottom-up. As a consequence, processes and procedures often appear to be incomplete, misaligned, too complex and partly over-detailed.
Role of ILF
We have developed a top-down approach for the oil and gas industry which allows us to structure lean engineering and management processes in order to achieve higher efficiency.
Combining best industry methodologies such as Front End Loading, cost estimates practices based on the recommended guidance of the Association of Cost Estimators and the management principles of the Project Management Institute, we created a comprehensive tool in order to identify process and organizational inefficiencies and to benchmark the engineering and management performance against best industry practices.
